Precision machining can be categorized into upper‑and‑lower die methods and is accomplished through a combination of processes such as planing, milling, etching, turning, and electrical discharge machining. The dimensions and pit geometry of precision‑machined parts are consistent with the edge profiles of the corresponding product blanks. In practice, wax molds are primarily used for industrial wax‑casting; therefore, when selecting materials, alloys with moderate melting points and low hardness are preferred. Aluminum alloys, which are relatively inexpensive and lightweight, are commonly employed for mold fabrication.

Precision machining can be categorized into upper‑and‑lower die methods and is typically accomplished through a combination of processes such as planing, milling, etching, turning, and electrical discharge machining. The dimensions and pit geometry of precision‑machined parts are consistent with the edges of the product’s sheet metal. In practice, wax patterns are primarily used for industrial wax‑casting; therefore, molds are often made from aluminum alloys that have a relatively low melting point and moderate hardness, offering cost‑effectiveness and light weight.

After the first two sandblasting operations and subsequent natural air-drying, the process is repeated for the third, fourth, fifth, and subsequent sandblasting stages. The number of sandblasting cycles is then adjusted according to the part’s size, surface‑finish requirements, and its weight; typically, 3 to 7 cycles are performed.

During meticulous machining, multiple wax patterns on the already fixed mold head are coated with industrial adhesive and then uniformly sprayed with a fine layer of sand. This sand consists of very small, finely graded particles, ensuring that the blank’s surface is as smooth as possible. After sandblasting and natural air-drying, the process continues by applying additional industrial adhesive to the wax pattern’s surface, followed by another sand‑spraying step—this time using sand with coarser, larger grains than the previous layer. Once spraying is complete, the wax patterns are left to air‑dry naturally under controlled, constant‑temperature conditions.
